International Airport will be expanded.
This
is
envisaged
by the Tbilisi International Airport development plan, Tea Zakaradze,

manager of TAV Georgia,
states
.
According to Zakaradze, at the end of March the company will decide whether TAV Georgia will continue to operate Tbilisi and Batumi international airports after the expiration date in 202 7 .
“The
final decision will depend on the
investment cost of the projects that
are part of the development plan. Work is underway on
development of the Tbilisi and Batumi
International Airports. The French company
has entered the final stage of work. We
are currently working out all the nuances
and details that the airport really needs,” Tea Zakaradze notes.
In her words, the development plan envisages the new terminal construction at Tbilisi International Airport as the existing terminal is outdated, it is almost 18 years old. These will be large-scale projects with s ignificant investments.
