Ukraine will receive the An-124-100 Ruslan transport aircraft of the Russian airline Volga-Dnepr, which was arrested in Canada. This was reported  by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal summing up his visit to the USA and Canada.

A new package of sanctions against Russia from Canada. In particular, against the Volga-Dnepr company. We are preparing to confiscate the AN-124 aircraft and other assets of the aggressor in Canada and transfer them to Ukraine,” wrote Shmyhal.

Arrest on 12 An-124-100 Ruslan transport aircraft of the Russian airline Volga-Dnepr at the request of the State Enterprise Antonov  was imposed back in April 2022   According to the decisions of local authorities, three An-124-100 Ruslan aircraft were forbidden to depart from Germany, one from Canada. We are talking about the last An-124.

The plane should be handed over to the Ukrainian Asset Recovery and Management Agency.

A total of 12 An-124-100 Ruslan and 5 Il-76 aircraft were at the disposal of the Volga-Dnepr airline. So we hope that the An-124 from Canada is only the first of the Russian aircraft confiscated for the benefit of Ukraine.
