Georgia’s gasoline and diesel imports down 4.6% in January-February

In January-February 2023, the import of gasoline and diesel fuel in Georgia amounted to 174.1 thousand tons that is 8.4 thousand tons or 4.6% less compared to the same period of last year (182.5 thousand tons)- the Union of Oil Product Importers reports.


In the first 2 months of 2023, the import of gasoline fuel amounted to 81.8 thousand tons, diesel imports atood at 92.3 thousand tons.


By categories, in January-February 2023, the import of gasoline fuel was as follows: A-91 R egular gasoline - 48.3 thousand tons (59%); A-95 P remium gasoline - 32 thousand tons (39.1%); A-98 S uper gasoline - 1.5 thousand tons (1.8%);



In January-February, the largest volume of gasoline and diesel was imported from Russia - 148.5 thousand tons that is 85.3% of all imports. Followed by Romania - 24.6 thousand tons - 14.1%; Belarus - 0.7 thousand tons - 0.4%; Turkmenistan - 0.2 thousand tons - 0.1%; Ukraine - 0.1 thousand tons - 0.05%; Bulgaria - 0.1 thousand tons - 0.05%.
