In February 2023, subsistence minimum decreased by GEL 0.5 compared to last month. According to the National Statistics Office, in February 2023 the subsistence minimum for a man of working age was set at GEL 256.4 against GEL 256.9 in January 2023.


Compared to the same period of 2022, in February 2023, the subsistence minimum for a man of working age has increased by GEL 25.1 while In February 2022, the subsistence minimum for a working-age man was stood at GEL 231.3.



At the same time, Sakstat reports that in February 2023 the average consumer's living wage decreased and was set at GEL 227.1 instead of GEL 227.5 compared to January 2023. As for the same period of 2022, the subsistence minimum of the average consumer was GEL 204.9. Thus, the subsistence minimum of the average consumer decreased by GEL 0.4 in monthly terms, and increased by GEL 22.2 in annual terms.
