Georgia’s
beer exportsincreased
by 193%. According to the National Statistical
Office, 249.75 tons of beer were exported from Georgia in
January 2023 against
85.25 tons in January 2022.
In
January figures, 28.5% of the Georgian beer
was exported to
Kazakhstan. Thus, statistics of January
show that Kazakhstan is #1 export market
for Georgian beer with
71.28 tons of beer in the reporting period. Followed
by Russia with 62.05 tons of beer.
Armenia
ranks third in the list of export markets with
55.15 tons of beer in January.
In
January 2023, the total value of beer exported from Georgia amounted
to $ 296.51 against
$65.96
thousand in the same period of last year.
In the last 14 years, the country’s beer exports hit record high in 2020, namely 5,492.63 tons.
C ompar ed to the last two years, a 65% increase in exports is observed . In 2022, in total 5,082.73 tons of beer worth $ 4,796.73 thousand were exported from Georgia to different global markets. In 2022, Georgian beer was sold on the market of 29 countries, but Kazakhstan (1,390.76 tons) and China (847.88 tons) are still leaders.
