A new water billing system, the so-called hybrid tariff, came into force for home hotels  starting January 1, 2020.

The new system applies to the hotels in which water is consumed both for personal needs and for business.

Since Georgia has different tariffs - consumer and corporate – it was required to separate water billing system for home hotels.

One meter will record  water consumption for  individual needs,  another —  the water consumed by  the hotel. If the hotel consumes less than 25 cubic meters of water per month, it will pay at the consumer rate, if more - at the corporate rate, which is much higher.
