Amid the increasing
number of shopping centers in Tbilisi, malls have to make efforts to attract tenants. Some malls
see a decrease in the capacity. Commersant
reports that "Tbilisi Mall" is among them and is going to house office spaces
instead of shops on the top floor where the capacity is low.
Tbilisi Mall denies having financial problems saying that the shopping center is almost 100% occupied while demand has increased.
"Tbilisi Mall's" trade turnover and occupancy have returned to pre-pandemic levels. Demand for spaces has increased, the pricing policy has not changed and the rent price is the same in almost all malls.
We are involved in interesting projects, are in talks with new brands, but due to the privacy policy, we cannot make their names public,” say at Tbilisi Mall.
Touching on the competition issue, Tbilisi Mall says that the capital doesn’t have many shopping center, so there will be enough customers for everyone. Apart from that, the mall offers the brands that are not represented in other malls.
