The Chinese gaming laptop brand Machenike, which is a division of Haier, has abandoned plans to enter the Russian market. They included the creation of an official representation and direct deliveries.

According to Forbes, citing two sources in the computer market, one of the reasons is the company’s plans to list on the US stock exchange, which makes it impossible to work with Russia.

In addition, there is evidence that Machenike analysts may have overestimated the company’s success in Russia last year, when many companies stopped working and parallel imports were not yet fully operational.

As for the parent company Haier, it did not announce its intention to leave the Russian market. Moreover, in June 2022 it became known that Haier will expand its production of home appliances in Naberezhnye Chelny by building its fourth plant in Russia. The mayor of the city, Nail Magdeev, said that Haier had invested almost 19 billion rubles in Naberezhnye Chelny.
