In the last 2 years, 730 cases of illegal hunting and violation of hunting rules were registered in the country. Three red-listed bears, three sarsaracs and one field cockatoo were killed- the Department of Environmental Supervision reports.

In the last 2 years, out of 730 violations, 60 persons were fined, 191 persons were given a verbal notice, in 15 cases administrative proceedings were terminated, verdict is unknown in 109 cases, an offender is unknown in 349 cases.

In the last 2 years, the total amount of imposed fines amounted to GEL 27,000.
