The banking sector paid GEL 88.5 million to the top executives  in 2021. The highest paid CEOs are in TBC and Bank of Georgia. The salary fund to  recruit 8 directors in "Bank of Georgia" made GEL 42.2 million, at  "TBC" – GEL 25.7 million.

Bank of Georgia spent the most amount on management, while General Director of "TBC Bank" Vakhtang Butskhrikidze is still the richest banker and owns 1,026,263 shares worth GBP 15 million. "Bank of Georgia" CEO Archil Gachechiladze owns 442,234 shares with the nominal value of  GBP 6.5 million. As for the member of supervisory board of JSC Liberty Bank Otar Rukhadze, it owned  1,364,157,493 shares in 2021, the value of one share was approximately GEL 0.07.

In total, 72 people were employed in the top management of the banking sector in 2021, the salaries of the top executives were as follows:

1. Bank of Georgia - 42,278,859 GEL (in 20,164,043 deferred shares);

2. TBC Bank - 25,717,987 GEL (in 14,315,469 deferred shares);

3. Basisbank - 5,505,604 GEL (in 923,267 deferred shares);

4. Credo Bank - 4,499,100 GEL (in 445,971 deferred shares);


5. Pasha Bank - 2,037,996 GEL;

6. Liberty Bank - 1,733,152 GEL;

7. Terrabank - 1,285,988 GEL;

8. Halyk Bank - 1,253,510 GEL ( deferred compensation of 429,531 GEL);

9. Cartu - 1,202,102 GEL;

10. IsBank - 1,192,506 GEL;

11. Procredit Bank - 778,147 GEL;

12. Ziraatbank - 584,985 GEL;

13. Silk Road Bank - 462,338 GEL.
